Our story

Behind FLAM!NK

Years ago, during an emergency C-section and the arrival of a first-born child, a simple thought sparked something extraordinary:

“I just want to feel like myself again.”

That wish is at the heart of FLAM!NK. Having your hair washed and styled is a familiar routine, but one that can be difficult to manage during a hospital stay.

After giving birth, surgery or illness, you may need a hand with the everyday things. We bring hair care to your bedside, with time and attention just for you.

FLAM!NK brings a wash and blowout, haircut or beard shape to your hospital ward. Choose a service and a time, and our stylist comes to your room.

We are a South African, women-owned business, starting in Pretoria.

    Choose an open time that suits you and pay securely online. You can book for someone else.

  3. We come to you

    Your stylist comes to your ward and room with everything they need.

Your appointment happens in your ward and room. Choose a wash and blowout for your hair length, a men's hair wash, cut and style, a beard shape and clean-up, or both. You can book for yourself or for someone you care about.

Tell us about any practical help you need when you book, such as if you cannot sit up. Check with your care team before booking if you are unsure whether a hair appointment is suitable for you.

Our heartbeat

FLAM!NK Cares

FLAM!NK Cares supports women who want to study hairdressing but cannot afford the training. Our bursary programme helps them take that first step.

Through education, we want to help more women earn a living in hairdressing and build careers of their own.
